METSCO Energy Solutions (METSCO) and Electricity Human Resources Canada (EHRC) have formed a partnership for both organizations to actively support the field of human resources in Canada's electricity industry and to foster collaboration. METSCO recently signed the EHRC Leadership Accord on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (the Accord) – a public commitment by employers, unions, educators, associations, and governments to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout their work.
Through recruitment, retention, policy and governance practices, and training and development, METSCO is committed to improving opportunities under-represented groups in our company and ensuring they are fully supported with equal opportunities to grow and develop to their full potential.
“We are proud to partner with EHRC on our journey to the peaks of excellence”, says Thor Hjartarson, CEO, METSCO. “We will only get there with diverse and strong employees who feel valued and take pride in their work. This must be shown as transparent directly from our leadership. I am committed to make that happen”
"EHRC would like to offer their congratulations to METSCO and their leadership, for making this public commitment to prioritize diversity, equity, and inclusion in their organization", says Michelle Branigan, CEO, EHRC. "EHRC’s Leadership Accord supports building a skilled and talented workforce representative of Canada's demographic. And among some of the proven benefits are a workforce that is engaged, creative and innovative. We look forward to supporting your journey."
